Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 4453: The Legend Of Mythical Tier
Chapter 4453: The Legend Of Mythical Tier
“That matter is concerned with karmic burden, so I can’t say easily and mess up my evolution to a Deathhowl Revenant Wolf even though the chances are thin. Yin, you take over if you want.”
The Patriarch looked taken aback before he escaped and hid himself on the male Emperor-Tier Nether Springs Death Wolf’s head, causing the others to blink.
Yin walked over. She felt the need to say to them since they seemed desperate. The other wolves walked away, not wanting to hear it. For Immortal Emperor Beasts like them, the karmic burden would be too strong. Sure, as King-Tiers, it won’t affect them being able to pass their tribulation in terms of prowess. However, an increase in prowess for their tribulation wasn’t the only thing karmic burden was capable of.
It could ruin their lives- even strengthen the bloodline curse on them. Even if it was not true, they couldn’t help but believe they would be suppressed more due to the oppression and superstition. They were better left not knowing much.
“I suppose I can say it to you all, but don’t blame me for mishaps in the future.” Yin started, “Normally, Mythical Tier is not even achievable by us Immortal Emperor Beasts since it is said to be a closer bloodline connection to the Mythical Paragon Magical Beasts that were the primordial magical beasts of the universe.”
“…!”
Schleya and the others shuddered, feeling something invisible wrap around them. It could be easily mistaken for tension, but it was undoubtedly karmic burden.
“No, I’m not talking about the current Paragon Magical Beasts. Although the Mythical Paragon Magical Beasts and Paragon Magical Beasts are said to be in the same rank, I don’t think the Paragon Magical Beasts themselves could emulate the primordial essence the Mythical Paragon Magical Beasts were born with. They were too strong for the universe to contain them, so it was said that they had left. Regardless, it is also said that they have left their Wills by sacrificing a part of their souls to this universe or the universe had retained a part of them since they were born from it.”
“You mean…”
“Yes, Mythical-Tier is only achievable by those beasts who are at Empyrean Beast Stage and above. Furthermore, they need to be Grand Saint Magical Beast Rank like the Deathhowl Revenant Wolf. And it is not something that can be achieved through bloodline purity alone. The bloodline needs to be karmically connected with our Primordial Paragon Magical Beast somehow, and in this case- where our Patriarch could be considered a half or a quasi Mythical-Tier Nether Springs Death Wolf, he has received the Will of our Primordial Ancestor brought by the undying hopes and vehement hatred of our Nether Springs Death Wolf race.”
“The way it is done is unknown, but that’s the specialty of the Bloodspring Chamber. Our ancestral souls will guard us and watch over us, giving us some hope even in this obviously bleak life we live.”
Yin appeared emotional as she said with a forlorn smile.
On the other side, Schleya and the others were completely shaken.
“In that case, the Mythical Tier Beast would sooner or later be capable of becoming a Mythical Paragon Magical Beast?”
Yin abruptly smiled teasingly, shaking her head, “That’s the idea, but has any beast reached that level? They’ll easily drop out of Mythical Tier when they advance to the next stage. The last time I checked, there were only fourteen Mythical Tier Beasts who were all Grand Saint Magical Beasts, and they were all protected or given equal treatment as a Paragon Magical Beast. As for Grand Ancestral Magical Beasts, I have seen or heard of no more than two Mythical Tier Beasts!”
“…”
“Is there one in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy?” Nyoran’s lips quivered.
Yin waved her hand, “I don’t think so. The Mythical Tier Beasts all usually form in their own galaxies due to their ancestral lands having certain connections with their Primordial Ancestor, so I haven’t heard of one Mythical-Tier Beast in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy.”
“…”
Hearing up to this point, Nyoran and the others were out of breath. Their bosoms heaved while Azbel and his father simply had their jaws open wide as though they had heard the truth of the universe for the first time.
There were unseen heights that they hadn’t heard or seen, making them feel small yet giddy. Nyoran and the other magical beasts wondered what the future held for them.
==========
Nadia stepped into the left path first, fully interested in seeing what this so-called Mythical Tier is.
The gate creaked open with a groan that sounded like a thousand howls weeping.
As she crossed the threshold, the aura of death became suffocating, and the walls glistened with phantom blood. A vast underground chamber sprawled before her, the Bloodspring Chamber, its core glowing with a miniature crimson-black spring of what appeared to be a resource that was unknown to her.
Abruptly, the gates behind her closed, and countless translucent wolf figures drifted in and out of the fog, whispering, crying, and snarling as they turned their eyes on her.
Suddenly, she felt them flood into her mind, trying to overwhelm her.
“My pups… where are my pups? Are you the one who has arrived to free us…?”
“I dreamed of hunting beside my daughters again… when I couldn’t I even give birth…”
“If only I had birthed a life… before my soul froze in silence…”
Nadia’s knees trembled, her throat tightened, but she stood tall.
“You are free… while we rot in eternal damnation, never to grow and propagate…”
“You broke the curse? Why not us? Why not me?”
“How can you!? I will tear the flesh from your bones and swallow your children whole!”
“Death to the other races! Why could they live and flourish but not us!?”
Hopes and hatred alike flooded into her, and each emotion was vivid, as though she had felt as if it was her own.
“…!” Nadia’s eyes turned bloodshot.
She turned to look around, intending to throw this hatred on someone like a wraith.
Her purplish-black horn shone, trying to repel those venomous souls, but she vaguely remembered having to pacify them, pacify both the ones who wanted to have a future and the ones who didn’t have and wanted to drag down everyone with them or go out in a blast while fighting the outsiders.
All those extreme emotions were amplified inside her, threatening to split her soul. All of these souls appeared to be at Emperor-Tier, making her unable to easily suppress them, but even if she could, she wouldn’t be able to earn their acknowledgment.
“Awoooo!~”
She threw her head and howled as though pressuring them to hush down first.
