- Chapter 1056 Just Tell Her You Like Baron
Chapter 1056: Chapter 1056: Just Tell Her You Like Baron Lawrence Chapter 1056: Chapter 1056: Just Tell Her You Like Baron Lawrence Enna Clark pondered for just a second, then quickly lifted her head and assured the housekeeper, “Mmm, it’s fine. The stone path is indeed too slippery. I’ll just take His Highness for a stroll around, so don’t worry.”
No matter what, since the old master had asked her and the housekeeper to accompany this prestigious His Highness for a walk, she felt obligated to do just that.
“That’s great!” Scarlett seemed very pleased with her agreement, took her hand, and headed inside.
The housekeeper’s gaze held worry, but it wasn’t appropriate for him to follow along, so he could only watch their figures with unease.
The Lawrence Family estate was very large.
And, of course, there were plenty of gardens.
There were fountains, rockeries, and ornamental fish ponds—a purely European-style that bespoke a super-mansion.
The rockery was immense, standing not far from the ornamental fish pond, and the little angels squirting water in the pond complemented it, enhancing its beauty.
Scarlett led her all the way into the rockery. Inside indeed was a small flower garden, just as the housekeeper had mentioned. The garden was overflowing with moth orchids, whose blossoms were in prime condition, with unique petals shaped like outspread butterfly wings.
Purple and red, colorful and extremely beautiful.
Beyond the moth orchids themselves which resembled butterflies, the area had attracted numerous real butterflies. The moment Enna saw the exquisite wings of these butterflies, she knew they must be rare species imported especially for this garden, not the type that just flutter in from outside.
Having such a scene inside the rockery was indeed a very clever design.
Enna herself was fond of flowers, and upon seeing such gorgeous flowers and butterflies, she couldn’t help but bend down to admire them closely.
To Scarlett, such landscapes were nothing strange; her mind wasn’t set on the flowers at all. Although it was her proposal to come see, she merely glanced at the flowers briefly before turning her gaze to Enna.
The looks… tolerable.
The figure… not bad.
The temperament… pretty good.
She quickly evaluated Enna and judged the level of threat she posed while she scrutinized her.
After deciding that Enna didn’t compare to her, she withdrew her gaze, then suddenly asked Enna, who was still looking at the flowers, “Do you know Brother Baron?”
“…” Enna abruptly turned to look at her.
When Scarlett felt her gaze, she shed the sweet and innocent demeanor she had exhibited in front of Old Master Lawrence and in front of the housekeeper, lifted her chin slightly with a touch of arrogance, blinked her eyes, and said to Enna on her own accord, “I went to a party the day before yesterday and met Brother Baron there. He was invited to play a piano piece and I was responsible for the violin. It was my first time meeting him. Before encountering him, I never knew how handsome a man could look playing the piano. Just one look and I knew I was done for—I must have fallen for him…”
She was speaking dreamily, romantically.
Yet, Enna found it somewhat amusing.
Just one meeting, just watching someone play the piano, and you’re sure you’re in love? Was this love really love, or was it like a child seeing a beautiful dress, an attractive toy, wanting to possess it kind of love?
She didn’t understand why this princess brought her here to say these provocatively childish things. Anyway, she didn’t have any particular feelings about it.
After all, it was Scarlett who liked Baron Lawrence, not Baron Lawrence who liked Scarlett.
What did Scarlett’s affection have to do with her?
